    Maker : 畑萬陶苑 / Hatamantoen

The Imari ware porcelain tradition, located in the Okawauchiyama region of Imari, and dates back over 300 years. Under the patronage of the Nabeshima clan, the pottery made here was used to create gifts and the finest offerings for the shogunate and, to this day, this area continues to create the highest grade porcelain. The Hatamantoen studio, founded in 1926, is constantly striving for new innovation and creation of new styles of Imari ware while preserving traditions of the past.
